Online Businesses That Don't Fail

M any people who are trying to dream up a domain name for their business discover just how common a unique idea might be. Welcome to the web! Trying to find a domain name that has not been taken is classic needle in a haystack. You can short-cut the process by doing your keyword research first. If you know what search terms people are using to find your products and services you can back your way into a domain name that gets more merit in those searches. And that's just the beginning of understanding how to take an idea online. What I have also come to discover is that there is a proliferation of people out there with great ideas and many of them may even have an idea similar to yours. EXECUTION is what turns an idea into an enterprise. And that is what separates the men from the boys (and the girls from the women).  Execution is a matter of process. I mean process in the literal sense. A successful business needs a roadmap. No successful business that I know of flies by the seat o...

Using Social Media For Your Marketing

F or months (or is it years now?) we have been reading articles on how businesses should develop a presence on Twitter and build a Facebook Page as part of their SEM objectives. Now, with social media firmly established in the armoury of our online marketing efforts, how can we best take advantage of these two social media giants? In a similar vein, the social-networking site Facebook was also hit with a DoS attack, but it didn't appear to be quite so threatenin...

Many of us (blogger / marketer on line) maybe have forgotten about this thing right here, but we must realized that it worth so much in gathering our traffic. The bigger your site, the more backlink you need. Because we all need backlinks. We all need backlinks to our websites. A backlink is an inbound html code that points to your website. You are probably wondering why you would want a backlink. I will explain it this way: If you have many websites with one-way links to your website, the search engines interpret this in your favor. You want to make sure that your website is at the "hub of the wheel" so to speak -- all the spokes, or links, are pointing to your website. Your goal should be that the search engines view your site as an "authority site". If a website provides excellent, interesting articles and other content, and has many readers, that website could b...

Seven Keywords Marketing Tools

I f you're targeting extremely competitive and profitable keywords you will have your work cut out for you; unless you have tons of money to buy your way (links) into the top spots, expect to spend months if not years, getting to those top listings. Google has frowned upon link buying and has taken steps to fight it, but this practice is still widespread throughout the web.  However, since keyword marketing has become extremely competitive, you do need a little help with achieving those top rankings. Over the years I have tested and used many keyword tools and I have listed some of the best ones below. (Just Google to find links to these tools and programs.) Google Keyword Tool This is Google's own keyword system run through its Adwords program. Like everything Google does, this keyword tool can be very helpful especially for the novice online marketer. https://adwords.google.com/ select/KeywordToolExternal MSN Commercial Intention Of Keywords Not to be outdone, another helpfu...
